MANILA, 11 July 2017 – In an interview with BusinessWorld, CIC President and CEO Jaime Garchitorena said that unless delay from major connectivity and security issues may arise, the Credit Information System (CIS) is ready to go live by January 2018.

The President and CEO said that it will keep its expected date of release despite reports of hacking and issues regarding the system for the agency is keen in monitoring any changes in security and connectivity.

He also added that "So let’s just say the probability of us launching in January is very high, but...what we’re saying is that we would never sacrifice the integrity of the data if there is a circumstance that will require us not to launch in January.”
Accredited Credit Bureaus of CIC

The CIC has four accredited Special Accessing Entities (SAEs) namely: CIBI (Philippines), Compuscan (South Africa), CRIF (Italy) and TransUnion (USA).

The SAEs have the ability to provide credit reports, ratings and other credit information products and services.
