The two-day hybrid training on cybersecurity is aligned with the CIC’s adherence to the National Cybersecurity Plan (NCSP) 2023-2028. Topics discussed during the training included foundational cybersecurity concepts, threat landscape, the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI), and essential cybersecurity practices. Technical topics on the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) setup and incident response provided participants with useful tools to deal with possible dangers.
Meanwhile, the PIA workshops are aligned with the CIC’s commitment to safeguarding personal data in all its products, services, programs, projects, and systems. The sessions were facilitated by PIA consultant, Dr. Rolando R. Lansigan.
By regularly updating its data processing systems and privacy impact assessment inventory, CIC minimizes the potential threats and risks by strengthening its data protection infrastructure and security measures against cyberattacks, unauthorized access, and other potential vulnerabilities.
These initiatives underscore CIC's commitment to safeguarding personal data and maintaining a robust digital infrastructure. By integrating data privacy and cybersecurity efforts, CIC continues to protect sensitive information and ensure the resilience of its systems.
