CIC at Co-operative Chairpersons’ and CEOs dialogue

TAGAYTAY CITY, 23 July 2019 – Atty. Aileen L. Amor-Bautista of the Credit Information Corporation relayed updates and compliance to R.A. No. 9510 during the Co-operative Chairpersons’ and CEOs Dialogue held at Days Hotel.

The forum, attended by 143 participants consisting of Co-operative Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers all over the country,  aims to share views on issues and concerns confronting the movement; propose doable plans and activities for the development of the Philippine Cooperative Movement, and take part in the implementation resulting from-an in-collective efforts and actions.

Atty. Amor-Bautista discussed the increase of Submitting Entities (AEs) providing credit data to the Credit Information System (CIS)  as well as the growth in the number of unique data consolidated. It is expected that developments will eventually lead to shift in considering not only the traditional but also the reputational collateral of borrowers to determine their ability to maintain good payment behavior.

Some of the speakers present at the forum were Mr. Orlando R. Ravanera, Chairman of Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Mr. Ray R. Elevazo, CDA Executive Director and Fr. Anton CT Pascual, Chairperson of MSCB.
